Redemption's Lore Stance in the upcoming MMORG release Darkfall

Kyrel the Redhand put his tools away. The young elf had given him all the pleasure he could have asked for, his broken burnt body had stopped straining against the manacles hours ago.Kyrel unlocked the manacles and kicked what was left of him into the pit below. The Dragon would be pleased.

Amoung the most skilled of the Dragonbound priests, Kyrel the Redhand loved his duty and duty always came first. His skill in manipulating fire was unparralled. He had forsaken his study of the healing arts, and as a result his right hand was a mangled blistered monstrosity. The Fires he created burned hotter than his healing skills could repair. He made this choice not by accident but deliberately, he enjoyed the pain, it reminded him that he still lived while his victim did not.

Walking the streets of New Flayed Elf, The crowds of Orcs and goblin slaves parted in front of him, each being bowing in deferrance to the elder priest. He smiled broadly, they did not always bow, but public executions seem to make impressions on his people. Praise to the fire dragon.

Kyrel was unique amoung his people. Orcs normally favor brute force over subtlety. Kyrel was more intelligent than the average orc, and had determined that lack of forethought had hindered the progress of the fire dragons wishes. He knew that Orcs were not one for fancy plans and strategy, But if you pointed a group of them at something alive and told them that it should be dead, they more often than not made it quite Dead. That Made Orcs a useful tool if used appropriately. But you don't used orcs in acts of subterfuge. They don't hide well because they just don't think they should have to hide from anything..

Kyrel had been quick to determine if the Fire Dragon were to rule Agon(and untill its awakening the Dragon Bound priests : He would need something very Un Orc like. Torturing Spies had taught him a few things, Spycraft amoung those things.

Orcs could not do these things. Orcs were a Battleaxe, not a surgeons scalpel. After thousands of years of War, there were not a lot of other options..but there was one.. and that one could very well get him the "intelligence' he could not get from Orc kind.

Pale One watched the Alfar scouts ride silently along the riverbank, the sound of the cascading water concealing the light padded footsteps of their drake mounts. The Hair on the back of his neck standing up was quickly read by the other members of his pack As" Move with me, We attack now"

The sound of cascading water hid many sounds that evening. Including 4 Distinct splashes as the Mahrirm raiding party leaped though the night air toppled the alfar from their mounts and crushed their puny bodies against the river bottom.

There were bubbles rising to the waters surface, and then only the background of the the rushing water remained.

"It seems our visitors had difficulty with their spells when their lungs were filling with water." growled Thorancal.

" They needed a bath anyway" Said Sanosuke " How could you live you whole life in a cave? They smell like bat dung."

"They thought they were sneaking up on Orcs, which is kind of silly for these puny things.. If they did sneak up on an Orc, what would they do with it when they found it?" Ransom wondered

"Quiet.." Said Pale One "Loot them, and take the right ear from each corpse" " the Redhand will pay nicely for them.."

Warchief Belnor backhanded the Orc Recruit with his mail gauntlet across the jaw." If you ever drop your axe again you will find it splitting your own #$%#% skull!"

They were Young but they were improving. They would serve the Dragon's needs. The dragonbound never had need for soldiers of their own in the past. The Big Head and the Iron Orks were manuvering politically against the DragonBound. If Kyrel the Redhand could not achieve victories in his upcoming campaign, that would be all the Big Head would need in order to attempt to usurp the power of the priesthood.

Kyrel knew that if he put trust in the Iron Orks(whose loyalty to the Big Head was unquestioned) to fight valiantly for him in the upcoming invasion of the elf lands, that they would fail on purpose to discredit his leadership. So He comissioned The Redemption Legion. A new force of Orc Shock troops that consisted of young troops commanded by the most viciuos officers that he could find.

The Iron Orks were a unit famous for discipline in battle( or at least as disciplined as a group of orks could be) The leaders of Redemption were Ex Iron Orks who had lost there commissions due to insubordination, or striking superior officers. Faced with a life of disgrace or a chance to redeem themselves, they jumped at the chance to train and lead this new force.

Redemption would be trained and molded into a horde of berzerkers who knew no fear. the priesthood had promised them immortality for their service to the Fire Dragon.

Kyrel Redhand planned his initial strike on the elven kingdom. His pack of Mahirim scouts would provide him with the perfect targets to create legends out of Redemption.

His Legion Would NEVER lose a battle. Because he would not turn them lose upon a target untill the Mahirim would have disposed of every sentry, unlocked every gate, and fully informed him of the enemies numbers and locations.

The secret to Never losing a battle is to never start a fight you cannot win.
